Developmentally disabled conditions are as follows.
1.Epilepsy
2.Deafness
3.Blindness
4.Autism spectrum Disorder.
All children with special health care needs fall into a risk category and should be
referred to a dentist by 1 year of age.
Any child with evidence of caries or tooth, gingival, or eruption anomalies.
should be immediately referred to a dentist who is comfortable caring for children
with special needs.

What is Pulp?
Øformative organ of tooth

Ø builds primary dentin
    during development of tooth
Ø secondary dentin after
    tooth eruption
Ø reparative dentin in response
    to stimulation as long as
    odontoblast remain vital

what is pulpitis
Ø most common cause of
    dental pain
Ø loss of teeth in younger
    persons
Ø usual cause is caries
    penetrating the dentin

EXTRACTION IN DIABETIC PATIENTS

“Increased blood glucose levels, secondary to absolute or relative deficiency of insulin”
It is caused by inadequate or abnormal insulin secretion causing impaired glucose usage and resulting in hyperglycaemia, glycosuria, and characteristic systemic pathology.
Two types:
1.  Insulin dependent diabetes mellitus: there is abrupt onset with patients prone to ketoacidosis, insulin dependence and metabolic derangements.
2.  Insulin nondependent diabetes mellitus: idiopathic diabetes, in it peripheral insulin resistance and usually after age of 40.
